ok, i now think its totally fine to think of jungle and drum n bass as two different things, even if its just subtly different. its like the difference between i dunno, hardcore and happy hardcore or something. then again, i still think there was a pretty reasonably profound difference between rock n roll and rock, im just not sure when one Drumstep is a sub-genre of drum and bass following a half-time beat. While a lot of Dubstep is half-time as well, the general BPM of Drumstep is usually a bit faster than that of Dubstep. There are a lot of similarities and overlaps between Dubstep and Drumstep, many songs that you’ll find fitting into one category will fit into the other.
4. Dubstep . One of the newer branches of electronic music, Dubstep originated in London in the early 2000s. The genre is characterized by syncopated beats which are somewhere between 130 to 140BPM, with a dedicated break at half-time. The grooves incorporate tuplets and a heavy wobble-bass.
